Hello.

I am looking for any fans who would be interested to slate a day or two for a Habitat for Humanity build in the LA area. We are looking at end of summer or beginning of fall time frame. So if you are interested in volunteering to build a house in the name of Whedon. Let me know by posting in this thread.

Thank you.

Raven,

I'm glad to see you're up and around again! Hope you're feeling better. We have some outstanding issues that need resolving at Fans4Writers, and we haven't been able to get in touch with you during your absence. Can you please e-mail me?

Thanks,
Adam

I would like to participate as well. So would my 14-year-old daughter (under 16s are not allowed on the construction site, but apparently they can do other things like serve lunch or make gifts for the new homeowners).

Count me in, although living in the UK I would have to stress that work/money issues might make it difficult to commit.

Count me in. Plus one. It's a really good idea. Let's do it just to prove that we can do ANYTHING. Cause we're evil. Or we're being initiated into the Evil League of Evil. Bwah ha ha!

I'm in, even if it's just monies to donate. I'd love to build, too, but, I'm a bit far away, though, that may also not be insurmountable, depending on dates...

Habitat for Humanity Project - SoCal Browncoats

Hey, just so y'all know, danregal of the Southern California Browncoats has just emailed members to recruit a Southern california organizer for this project...

---------------

For those who don't know what I'm talking about here, check out the
Whedonesque post and article they linked:

http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2008/04/hugh-laurie.html

So here's the deal. Lynn has been wanting (for years now) to have a
shindig or SoCal event where we all get together and build a house for
Habitat. This seems like the push needed to finally get it done.

Here is what we need. 1 person to take the lead and be our captain
for this event. You will need to be able to work with HFH to set all
this up. You will be working with Lynn and I to support you, so this
isn't all you, but we will need you to be able to get things done
without us if necessary.

We are in the middle of CSTS and Comic-Con planning, so we can't
devote our full attention. That's the main reason we need someone
else to step up. This event may take place anywhere in Southern
California, depending on when they have a build.

If you are interested, and can take this on, please send me an email

danregal_ff at yahoo.com

Thanks!
James and Lynn
