Edited to add:SPECS:Deadline: 11/23 11:59pm (or 12:00a.m. on 11/24) ETA: That's USA Pacific Standard Time (UTC -8)Size: 8.5"w x 11" h (Leave some white space around your content so it looks well on the 8.5" x 11" page.) Format: 300 dpi pdf or 300 dpi jpg (ETA: 300 dpi png)ETA: Please make sure that your entry is at least 4"-5" wide or high AND 300 dpi - it's going to be printed on a 8.5" x 11" page, so smaller will get kinda lost in that space)Email: as an attachment, to quotergal AT gmail DOT com; subject line: Dollhouse book submission OR If you want something typeset, say so in your email & paste your message in the body of the email, and feel free to say something about style/flavor/type. OR If you want your photo included in a polaroid-y kindof page, with a brief one-line message, say so in the email, and attach your photo and one-line name & message. ALSO:Link to Cake Thread - for 1) finding out how to donate for the cake and 2) voting in polls/seeing poll results for how stuff will be done. Link to Signature thread - for posting how you want your name on the card.) Folks want to make a binder-bound memento kindof thank-you book for Joss and the Dollhouse cast and crew - it would either go with the card & cake or a little later, depending on how big a deal the bindery-book ends up being. It would just consist of 8.5" x 11" pages slipped into protectors and put into a small-3 ring binder. You can do a message, a quote, a picture, a letter - whatever occurs to you. I'm sure there have been many such things in the fandom before, but here's the only similar thing I was involved in - when the BSG writers were on the strike line for the 07-08 WGA strike, BSG fans at Fans4Writers several times submitted similar creations that other fans then mounted in a display & brought to the line to hearten the strikers. Here's one of mine: I show this not to say "how great is this" (it ain't) - but actually to show how small an effort can be involved & still have meaning to the Dollhouse creators. I'm just trying to assess folks' interest in putting in something for this book. If you're interested, please post in this thread. When I know if there's a few folks - or more, I'll post more info on deadline & specs. Any comments or suggestions are of course welcome - though I can't guarantee that elaborate, extravagant or impractical suggestions will actually be taken into consideration.

Yes! I think this is a great idea- especially if the talented creative people get involved. Which is not me, but I'd contribute something anyway.

I will gladly contribute. Will also assist if you want to lay out something more ambitious like a Lulu or Kodak book.

Count me in, QG! Thank you for being willing to work on this.
I hope people over at dot com are fully aware that polls and topics are ongoing over here so we can get an accurate count for you.

ohey, I'm so in. I don't know that I can do anything particularly fancy or nice looking, but I'd love to put a little message across. (:

E-Rock, no one needs to spend a thing for this - just make a little artistic contribution to the book - a page w/ some kindof message of thanks to the Dollhouse cast & crew for their work - like a quote, or quote and picture, or just a little message - whatever.
I'm looking forward to seeing what folks make for this - and hoping we can get some more peeps so it looks goooood and full. (We can't even consider going to a Lulu book without a lot more content - not that I think that route is likely.)
I'll put up some specs soon - but it's looking like it can be an 8.5" x 11" page used however folks want to use it - and in a high-res pdf or jpg as the final to email to me.

Count me in! (I'm not overly creative but I'd like to put something in)
Do we have a time limit (before cake-delivery-day?) or is it just a as-soon-as kind of a thing?
