Important!

If you want your name on the card, it shoudl get posted to: Signatures/names for Dollhouse cast and crew card

If you also want to have something in the thank you book (separate from the cake/card), post here: Bindery Thank You Book for Dollhouse cast and crew

Check this post for updated information as this progressed. Updates added to bottom of this post.

Over in the .com Dollhouse cancellation thread, someone suggested a thank you cake for the cast and crew.

So here's a thread dedicated to that, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle over there.

Nov 11 Updates

Any monies donated in excess of what's required for the cake and card will be donated to charity.

It occurs to me I did not put an option for not having names. A simple printed list would not be difficult methinks, but if you think no names is the way to go, just say so here and ignore the vote.

Depending on the other choices, we may not be able to put this together for this week, if that's what people were thinking. The simpler it is, the quicker we can do it. Even if it's simple, we can wait and do it properly if we're not in a hurry.

Ah ha, thanks b!x.

I can take care of the ordering and the delivering. We should have discussion on the when, the what kind, the what's on it, and the payment.

Someone mentioned it saying something to the effect of, "You did your best"

Personally I favor the direct quote, "I try to be my Best," or even, "We try to be our Best."

What say ye?

I think we need to find out how many cast and crew there (so everyone can get a piece) and what would be the best day to deliver it. Also any money left over should go to Equality Now?

Isn't this an inappropriate starch by definition?

Or it could be (medicinal) carrot cake... lots of available quotage. ;)

I definitely want to chip in. Leftover money to charity seems good to me too.

Did I fall asleep?

For a little while.

Seems more appropriate to me.

I still think it should be shaped like a brain, but that's probably too custom and someone will say it's too disgusting.

Either one sounds good to me. Let those of us who are less creative with cake ideas know how/when to contribute.

Well I think whatever we decide to say on the cake, it should at least be something positive. Like instead of, "We tried to be our bests", it should be something like, "We were our bests!".

I know if I was them I'd want a cake that tastes good and makes me a little less depressed.

Personally I'm not too concerned with the specifics, just that they get some kind of token of our appreciation. If that's a cake, that sounds good to me. You can definitely put me down for atleast $10.

(Although I would like to veto the "brain" idea... Personally I wouldn't wanna eat a brain shaped cake...)
