Loca Liana, I'll see your "dance of Joy" and I'll raise you a Snoopy dance.
Whoo hoo for more Joss shows!

The furthest I will go with my optimism is that at least in a year
we will have a DVD of some sort with completely new work by Joss.
Oh I just had another thought. Will this be shot in HD video?
If so, wouldn't that be Joss's first work on non-film medium?
ps. this means Ripper with the BBC is a far off fantasy at this point right?

I agree with electricspacegirl. Send positive energy out into the universe, trust that Joss knows what he's doing. I seriously doubt he'd be getting back into bed with Fox unless he felt that the support this time is the real thing.
I'm usually more cynical than not, but I've got a really good feeling about this one. One way or another, we have a long wait, with the writers strike looming. But I have every confidence it will be well worth the wait.
As for the boycott suggestion, just don't watch the reality shows, those ratings are what will keep the studios holding firm during the strike. And how hard can that be, they're all bloody awful anyhow.

I'll try. Really I will. I just hear the combination of "Joss" and "Fox" (hmm, rather Seussian there, isn't it?) and I have this urge to back slowly away to protect my heart.
But what the hey.
And I can't wait to see how far he takes the "Dollhouse" theme. Maybe a character named "Nora"? If so, watch that one. She's not as much of a featherhead as you think.

It's great to see Joss headin' back to the TV box. I wasn't a fan of the Joss during the first-run of his shows, but, since then, I've seen the error in my ways. Now, I'm proud to say that I'll be able to see another of his soon-to-be-classics during its first run. C'est super cool.
I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed that FOX doesn't pull a Firefly here. I don't know what I'd do if yet another Joss show was cut down so soon. But, from what I've been reading about the show and episode commitments and all of that fun stuff, it sounds like Dollhouse is relatively secure. Plus, like someone else here said, you just gotta have faith that the people behind the show know what they're getting into this time.
Anyways, I'm (obviously) looking forward to the show. Aside from Battlestar Galactica and Heroes, there isn't much else for me to choose from in the good television department. Hopefully, I'll be able to add Dollhouse to that list soon enough.

Um, I kind of doubt that since (1) Fox already picked it up, (2) it hasn't been written yet, and (3) it's not a frikkin' pilot!!!!!
Sorry, but I thought the whole point of the 7-episode commitment was that we had a series opener, not a pilot?
And I think that site probably got their wires crossed somewhere. On Friday CBS announced they've commissioned three pilots: Can Openers, Mythological X, and The Mentalist, none of which sound remotely like Dollhouse.
(Sorry for the crankiness, I think I'm coming down with a cold. *grump grump grump*)
